Why Strong Passwords Matter

Weak passwords are a top cause of account breaches. Reusing the same password across sites multiplies risk—one leaked service can compromise many accounts. How Our Password Generator Works

The generator uses the browser's Crypto.getRandomValues API for cryptographically secure randomness—the same technology used for encryption keys and secure tokens. You choose length (8–32 characters) and whether to include uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols. Each character is selected randomly from the chosen character set. Copy with one click. No server round-trips—passwords are generated and displayed entirely in your browser. We never see, store, or transmit them.

What Makes a Password Strong

Length: Longer is better. A 12-character password has vastly more combinations than an 8-character one. Aim for at least 12 characters for important accounts.

Randomness: Avoid dictionary words, names, birthdays, and predictable patterns. Random characters are harder to guess than "Password123."

Variety: Mix uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols. Each character type expands the possible combinations and resists brute-force attacks.

Uniqueness: Use a different password for each account. A password manager helps you remember them without reusing.
